Irreversible Entanglements is a politically-driven, collaborative free jazz project comprised of members from Philadelphia, New York City, and Washington, D.C. The group formed after a Musicians Against Police Brutality event in NYC (organized by musicians Amirtha Kidambi and Peter Evans) to raise funds for the family of Akai Gurley, a young black father who was slain in 2014 in the stairwell of his home by Peter Liang of the NYPD.
